Bernard Hibbitts is JURIST's Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, and a Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. A Canadian Rhodes Scholar born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he studied law at Oxford, Dalhousie Law School,
the University of Toronto, and finally Harvard Law School (LLM 1988), where he was Associate Editor of the Harvard International Law Journal. He is a former law clerk to Justice Gerald LeDain of the Supreme Court of Canada. He created the site that became JURIST in 1996.

JURIST's Executive Director is Abigail Salisbury. She holds a JD and
an International & Comparative Law Certificate from the University of
Pittsburgh and a BA from Case Western Reserve University. She was a
contributor to JURIST's Forum and Dateline services prior to joining the professional staff.

JURIST's Research Director is Jaclyn Belczyk. Jaclyn is a 2008 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, from which she holds a JD and a Certificate in Latin American Studies. She also holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Technical Director
JURIST's Technical Director is Jeremiah Lee, a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

JURIST's Chief of Staff is Ryan Olden, a dual degree student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Masters of International Affairs candidate at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
