Canada judge declines release of confidential papers in terror case Brett Murphy at 12:39 PM ET [JURIST] Canadian Federal Court Judge Richard Mosley refused to require the release of confidential evidence [ruling, PDF; summary, PDF] against alleged terrorist Mohammed Momin Khawaja [CBC backgrounder] on Monday, saying "that disclosure of most of the information would be injurious to national security or to international relations." Mosley told defense lawyers that he will summarize some of the information, but will not force Canadian prosecutors to release the documents. Link |
