Thatcher hearings in Equatorial Guinea coup case to be televised Jeannie Shawl at 11:30 AM ET South Africa's Cape High Court ruled Monday that the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will be allowed to televise court proceedings in the case against Mark Thatcher, son of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Thatcher, who has been charged in connection with a failed coup attempt in Equatorial Guinea, is due in court Tuesday to challenge the validity of a subpoena compelling him to answer questions from EG prosecutors.
