JURIST - Paper Chase: Milosevic lawyers set to argue against their appointment

Court-appointed lawyers for former Yugoslavian president Slobodan Milosevic, currently on trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, are set to argue against their own appointment before the Appeals Chamber of the court on Thursday. The lawyers are seeking release from their assignment on the grounds that Milosevic, who conducted his own defense until removed for health reasons last month, is not co-operating with them, disabling them from mounting an effective case.
