Oregon lawyer to sue FBI over Madrid bombing misidentification
Tom at 3:32 PM ET

Brandon Mayfield, the Oregon attorney jailed in connection with the Madrid terrorist bombing plans on suing the FBI, AP reports on Friday. As reported earlier in JURIST's Paper Chase, Mayfield was cleared of all charges on May 24th. The misidentification occurred when Mayfield's fingerprints were incorrectly matched to those found on a bag of detonators near a Madrid train station. The March 11 train bombings in Spain killed 191 people and injured about 2,000. The charges Mayfield intends to bring against the FBI have not been disclosed. AP has the full story.
