FBI investigates suspected Israeli mole
Brandon Smith at 9:38 PM ET

Government officials revealed Friday that the FBI is investigating a high-level Pentagon analyst on suspicion of passing secret documents regarding Iran to Israel. Authorities say the spy is connected with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's office and purportedly passed the documents through the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. No arrests have been made, and the Israeli embassy denied the claims, calling them outrageous. Reuters has more.

UPDATE: The American Israel Public Affairs Committee has released a statement regarding the accusations. AIPAC calls the allegations baseless, but promises its full cooperation with officials.
