BREAKING NEWS ~ Pinochet stripped of immunity by Chilean Supreme Court

The BBC is reporting that Chile's Supreme Court has stripped former military ruler Augusto Pinochet of his immunity from prosecution, upholding a May ruling by a lower court that was reported on JURIST's Paper Chase here.

UPDATE: The Court was split 9-8 on its confirmation of the lower court decision. From Santiago, Chile's El Mercurio newspaper has more (in Spanish).
