Australian Senate passes new law banning same-sex marriage

The Australian Senate has voted in favor of a bill banning same-sex marriage Friday, with supporters saying the bill was in line with the common law definition of marriage. Australia's Equal Rights Network is considering challenging the constitutionality of the new law. AAP has more. Australia's ABC News has more on the reaction to the new law.
