US Supreme Court stays Texas execution
Jeannie Shawl at 3:01 PM ET

The US Supreme Court Wednesday issued an indefinite stay of execution for Troy Kunkle, who has been convicted for murdering a robbery victim in Texas. Kunkle's lawyers have filed an appeal to the Supreme Court arguing that jurors were not allowed to properly consider Kunkle's drug and alcohol abuse history and that Kunkle's due process rights were violated when his lawyers were denied access to a transcript of juror questioning. Read the Court's Order [PDF]. AP has the full story.
