In Friday's US law and business press, the Recorder reports on Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's remarks to judges at the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals's annual conference.... The Recorder also reports that the CA Supreme Court has granted review in a suit filed by a former writers' assistant alleging that writers for the TV sitcom "Friends" made vulgar jokes and remarks which subjected her to a hostile work environment.... The Cincinnati Business Courier reports that a KY federal judge has issued a ruling permanently barring KY racing officials from enforcing a ban on jockeys wearing union logos and ads during races.... According to the Fulton County Daily Report, the Eleventh US Circuit Court of Appeals's Judge William H. Pryor has cast the deciding vote to block a FL gay adoption suit from being reheard.... FindLaw's Writ has CA attorney Edward Lazarus's column on the constitutionality of executing juveniles, as well as attorney Rodger Citron's book review of Warren Goldstein's William Sloane Coffin Jr.: A Holy Impatience.
