Mercenary leader pleads guilty in Zimbabwe court

Former British SAS captain Simon Mann pleaded guilty to trying to procure dangerous weapons in a Zimbabwe court Wednesday and entered a limited guilty plea to a charge of purchasing weapons. Mann is the alleged leader of 70 men arrested in Zimbabwe who are accused of plotting to overthrow the government of Equatorial Guinea. BBC News has more. In a related story, the South African attorney who had been heading the mercenaries' defense team has withdrawn from the case. South Africa's Mail and Guardian has more.
