Former world chess champ Bobby Fischer arrested in Japan

Former world chess champion Bobby Fischer was detained Friday by Japanese immigration after allegedly trying to leave the country with an invalid passport. It was not clear whether Fischer would be extradited to the US, where he is wanted for violating international sanctions by traveling to the former Yugoslavia in 1992 for a chess match. Japan and the US have an extradition treaty. AP has more.
