Military judge refuses to dismiss case against alleged Guantanamo spy
Jeannie Shawl at 2:52 PM ET

A military judge has refused to dismiss the charges against Senior Airman Ahmad Al Halabi, accused of spying at Guantanamo Bay while working there as an Arabic language translator. Halabi's original charge sheet is available here [PDF]. Military Judge Col. Barbara Brand criticized the way prosecutors have handled the case, but said that there was no evidence of malice that would justify dismissing the case against Halabi. Brand did indicate that she would ask a military legal review board to investigate complaints of mistakes made by prosecutors. Reuters has the full story.
