Thursday's New York Times notes that the EPA is nearing an agreement with industry leaders on the first-ever emission standards for companies that process pigs, cows, and chickens, President Bush has met with a private attorney he may retain if he is questioned as part of a grand jury investigation into the public disclosure of a CIA undercover officer's identity, and that gloating Enron telephone transcripts have been released. The NYT also includes techonology articles about the Justice Department's suit against Oracle's proposed hostile take over of PeopleSoft and Symbol Technology's expected announcement of a settlement with the SEC.

The Washington Post highlights articles about the rise of sexual assault allegations within the army and weak prevention efforts, Condoleezza Rice's promise to investigate the source of a Pentagon intellegence leak, and Congressional unrest surrounding President Bush's deal with Democrats on judicial appointments.

USA Today includes an update on the Nichols trial and the judge's warning to the jury.
