BREAKING NEWS ~ Oregon lawyer jailed in Madrid bombings probe released

KGW-TV in Portland, Oregon, is reporting that federal authorities have released Brandon Mayfield, an Oregon lawyer and Muslim convert who was arrested and detained on May 6 as a material witness in the March 11 Madrid bombings investigation after Spanish authorities told the FBI that they had found his fingerprints on a detonator. Spanish police said earlier today that the fingerprints on the detonator were instead those of an Algerian national. Mayfield said he had been through a "harrowing ordeal." KGW has more.
