Israeli soldier charged with death of UK activist
Justine at 2:16 PM ET

The BBC reports that an Israeli soldier has been charged with manslaughter for the death of 22-year old UK activist, Tom Hurndall last year. A member of the Palestinian-led International Solidarity Movement, Hurndall was shot in the head while visiting a refugee camp. He suffered brain damage and remained in a coma until his death. Last year, an unidentified Israeli soldier was charged with aggravated assault on Hurndall, but the charge has been upgraded to manslaugher due to Hurndall's death. Hurndall's family has requested that a murder charge be brought against the soldier.
