A spokesman for the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia told the Kuwaiti News Agency Saturday that a tribunal has to be established to try Iraqi officials responsible for war crimes committed by the regime, and that the UN Security Council would issue a decision similar to the one that resulted in the creation of the ICTY.

Columbia Law School hosted a debate on affirmative action in higher education Friday evening featuring John McGinnis of Northwestern University School of Law and Elsie Boddie of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. The Columbia Daily Spectator reports.

Montie Deer of the University of Tulsa College of Law spoke Friday at Tulsa on the law of Indian gaming. Tulsa Law has streaming video of his lecture.

Harvard Law School awarded its 2003 Ames Prize for contributions to legal scholarship to Judge Richard Posner at a ceremony in Cambridge Friday. Read the HLS press release.
