Information Privacy: Law and PracticeFoundations of Law, Policy and Practice
This class is taught in an interactive lecture/dialogue style. Students will be expected to read and apply the principle regulations and risk assessments to real-life and hypothetical data management and data use scenarios. Students will be expected to complete all reading and written assignments prior to class, and to participate in all class discussions.
Grades will be based on class participation, several short written assignments designed to build drafting and risk assessment skills, and one final take-home case study analysis. Grades will be based upon the following breakdown: Class participation: 20%; written assignments: 40%; and final case study project: 40%.
