Pitt Law 2L Selected as Equal Justice Works Student Representative
Pitt Law 2L Kaeleen Kosmo was recently selected as one of 50 Equal Justice Works Student Representatives for 2017-2018 school year. Equal Justice Works is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing training and skills that educate and enable law students toward providing effective representation to underserved communities and causes.
Responsibilities of an Equal Justice Works Student Representative include attending law school campus events promoting public interest law and recruiting law students to join the Equal Justice Works’ JDs for Justice Network. Equal Justice Works collaborates with over 180 member law schools to expand public interest programming on law school campuses, and its fellowships programs fund hundreds of public interest attorneys each year to close the justice gap on issues such as foreclosure, community economic development, immigration, civil rights, homelessness, access to healthcare, and domestic violence.
