Pitt Legal Services Incubator Application
The Pitt Legal Services Incubator program is open to all Pitt Law graduates who are admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Applications for the program commencing January 3, 2017, must be submitted no later than November 14, 2016. We expect to complete the selection process by early December 2016. Prior to the program start date of January 3, 2017, enrolled lawyers must obtain their own malpractice insurance coverage and legally constitute any entity, e.g., LLC, they intend to use in their practice.
PLSI is sponsoring a CLE program, Solo and Small Firms: Start, Manage, or Enhance Your Practice, that will address the development of business plans, entity formation, IOLTA and business accounts, building and maintaining client relationships, and best practices to avoid professional discipline. The program will be held 12:30-5:15 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016, at the Law School. A networking “happy hour” will follow the formal program.
PLSI applicants may attend the program without charge if they do not need the CLE credits. (Alternatively, you may choose to pay a $90 processing fee and earn 3.5 substantive and one ethics CLE credit hours.) We strongly encourage all PLSI applicants to attend this program.
