Every academic field should have a site like this. It's a pity only faculty members are allowed to publish articles on it though - a lot of lawyers have academic interests too! I hope JURIST develops more internationally, at the moment it is (perhaps understandably) US centered, but the Web offers so many more opportunities.

I have been doing a lot of research in both the civil rights and criminal law areas. I wish I had found this site earlier.

I am happy to know this site. I come from Indonesia, at the moment a poor country since the currency crisis hit Indonesia, most of us can do nothing. Lack of references, books, materials on international law compelled me to contact anybody, never knows, they could give assistance. As junior teaching staff member, I must confess that my main career interest and goal is to develop deeper theoretical insights combined with advanced research skills, so that I can conduct research and teach in better ways. Is it possible?

This site is a great resource, with lots of good ideas on how to use the Web as part of legal education. The Canadian section is much appreciated.

I am a non lawyer, constitutional scholar, who has written the continuation of the original 1787 Federalist Papers. There were 85 Papers originally. I added another 22. They can be found on my website: constitutionalguardian.com America faces the greatest moral, legal and political crisis in its entire history. That crisis was created by the current unconstitutional control of all governement by the American legal profession. Uncorrected that control will bring the Nation down. Americans fear to speak out. I need to hear the Nations of Europe speak out in support of the removal of lawyers from public office oputside the Judiciary. This forum of law professors and others is precisely the place to air such ideas. I encourage all comment and criticism from all.

I was very pleased to see a Canadian site established. I have been a viewer of the original Jurist site since its inception and had encouraged more Canadian content on it, volunteering to try and spread the word here.
