On March 31, 2017, Pitt Law’s Energy Law and Policy Institute, in conjunction with West Virginia University College of Law and Carnegie Mellon University’s Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, presented a one-day Energy Law and Policy Forum. The topics covered included oil and gas litigation issues, environmental issues, decentralization of the electric industry, and decarbonization of electric generation. Speakers included Professor Keith Hall, visiting professor at Pitt Law, Kevin Abbott, ELPI director, Colette Honorable, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Commissioner, and Gladys Brown, Chair of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
The Energy Week Law and Policy Forum is a free event and is open to the public. However, if you would like to attend and earn PA and WV Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit, the total event costs are $150.00.
